44: The Lord’s Prayer

1. The prophet Jesus gave humans the

3. simplest and most heartfelt prayer:

4. “Go to a quiet place, alone, and kneel

5. down and pray.” He then gave to people the following prayer

6. for this purpose, a prayer to be uttered when one was in need:

7. Our father, God who is in heaven, amen!

8. Our father, God, hallowed be your name.

9. Give us our daily bread today.

10. Forgive us of our trespasses

11. As we forgive others who trespass against us.

12. Lead us not into temptation

13. But deliver us from evil, forever and ever.

14. May your kingdom come and your will be done

15. On Earth as it is in Heaven, Amen!

16. Defeat the Devil, wake the dead.

17. Our father, God who was, is, and will be,

18. Hallowed be thy name, Amen!
