A big, gregarious woman who, until recently, ran a tavern in Rothskilde. When Bartleby was thrown out of his monastic order for his failures, Ölrún was fired from her own job as well. The two of them come to the covenant seeking a life free from persecution, though Ölrún is far more apprehensive about the haunted place with the strange scholars than her companion is.
