Talk:Llewys' Character Sheet
From Ars Magica
James - here's the character sheet I promised for Llewys. Up for your approval and enjoyment. --Rencheple 09:14, 25 March 2006 (PST)
One quick comment - he has one more point of flaws than virtues because I put "Close Family Ties" in only to reflect Ambrosius' flaw, not as a story flaw of his own. --Rencheple 09:25, 25 March 2006 (PST)
- Your starter for 10... why is his walking stick shod with bronze. It's a bit odd... Having it shod means that the end that goes on the ground must be bronze.
- Yep - it's actually just a gift from [the smith] Ambrosius to his brother. At 10, he'd be ecstatic with it, and it reflects a little of Ambrosius nature and caring for his brother. I probably has some broze rings near the tops as well, for decoration - something to make it clearly Llewys's. It would be of appropriate height and weight for a 10 year old. No intended affect on it's statistics, only creative license.
- Ah... I just wondered whether it related to Eirlys.
- Second question :D - Why is he a custos? I've only given a couple of select grogs the virtue 'Custos'. I don't think he qualifies, even with the patronage of one of the magi. He isn't one of the top grogs in the covenant, he doesn't get paid a wage, etc.
- I justified "Custos" based on his status as 1)Brother and Dependent of a founding magus and 2) Being a founding mundane member of the covenant. By way of mechanics, it was a easy way to reflect his Covenant Upbringing without setting the Virtues and Flaws out of whack and to allow him to pick up some understanding from the magi he's been raised around (specifically, his knowledge of appreneticship through observing his brother and Galfridus [Code of Hermes: Apprenticeship and Covenant Lore: Apprentices]).--Rencheple 11:05, 25 March 2006 (PST)
