The high elf is the most common elf variety. High elves average 5 feet tall and typically weigh just over 100 pounds. They live on fruits and grains, though they occasionally hunt for fresh meat. High elves prefer colorful clothes, usually with a green-and-gray cloak that blends well with the colors of the forest.

  • +10 Strength, +10 Dexterity, +10 Constitution, +10 Intelligence, +10 Charisma
  • Humanoid (Elf).
  • Medium: As Medium creatures, high elves have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • High elf base land speed is 20 feet.
  • Arcane Allergy: Elves take extra damage from spells without elemental subtypes; these spells deal damage equal to the caster's caster level x d6, as well as any other effects from the magic. Elves automatically fail their fortitude throws to resist death effects (but not any will saves involved). Magic weapons bypass all damage reduction elves may have, and deals an extra 2d6 damage.
  • Immunity to magic sleep effects, and a +12 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells or effects, but take damage equal to Caster's Level x d4.
  • Low-Light Vision: A high elf can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
  • Weapon Proficiency: High elves receive the Martial Weapon Proficiency feats for the longsword, rapier, longbow (including composite longbow), and shortbow (including composite shortbow) as bonus feats.
  • +12 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks. A high elf who merely passes within 5 feet of a secret or concealed door is entitled to a Search check to notice it as if she were actively looking for it.
  • Automatic Languages: West Common and Elven
  • Elven Strength: You gain an AC bonus equal to your strength modifier
  • Elven Speed: Add your dexterity modifier x 5 to your land speed.
  • Elven Skin: You gain damage reduction equal to your constitution modifier.
  • Elven Regeneration: You recover HP each round equal to your intelligence modifier.
  • Elven Grace: Add your Charisma modifier to attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws.
