Tempura Soba (天麩羅蕎麦) is a 19 year old Knight played by Cinna (Member). She works for the Repuren and is the protector of Mimigowa Usagi.

[edit] Before...

Soba hasn't actually ever been unusually 'attracted' to anyone, though she came to join the Repuren after her training as an alien completely on impulse. Her attitude wasn't particularly great, and she didn't actually want to join to help the earth or anything - she only came because she felt some sort of a presence. She had been transforming randomly (her ears would grow larger, her hair would change color, etc.), though she was completely conscious of it the entire time.

Eventually, one of the Angeliques of the Repuren (after Soba had been around the base regularly for a year or so) suggested that maybe she was meant to be a Knight to one of them (there were no mews at the time). She did some research, learning about what exactly a Knight was. She figured out that she wasn't specifically the Knight of any one of the Angeliques there. Her transformations also became easier to control as she hung around the Repuren more.

Finally, when she could control the transformations completely, she was told to guard the Angel of Light - make sure that she received proper nourishment, never went into battle... in fact, Mimigowa Usagi was not to leave the spaceship without a guard to protect her from the elements and/or mews who would get in the way. Soba eventually found that Mimigowa Usagi was the one she was meant to protect anyway. She has since decided to care for her as she would a younger sibling.

Soba just recently has been assigned to watch over Usagi while she goes on a shopping trip for her birthday. The half-alien knight is actually quite excited about this.

She sort of grunts at people when they greet her, but is very feminine at the same time. Cleanliness is very important to her. Although she doesn't appear to care about anyone besides Mimigowa Usagi, she really does care about others, especially her family (including Fudou Meshi - she's likely to avoid fighting him at all costs) and the rest of the Repuren. She worries a lot about her comrades.

Sage - Soba's father. He died a month after she'd finally settled into the alien way of life. He was an alien.

Fudou Tempura - Soba's mother. Soba took her mother's first name as her own last name, since her mother desired that she at least have one. She is still living, though not an official character of the roleplay (yet) and is a human.

Fudou Meshi - Soba's cousin - their mothers were sisters.

Unnamed Aunt and Uncle - Meshi's parents, and therefore Soba's aunt and uncle. The uncle is alien, the aunt is human. The aunt is definitely alive, although it is unknown whether or not the uncle is.

Kuro-Meshi - She doesn't know that he exists, but since he's technically half of Fudou Meshi, he's included here.

[edit] Normal Form

As she can't be in knight form all the time, Soba is perfectly capable of fighting in her normal form. She wears a thick metal chain with skull decorations around her LEFT arm. Although for all intents and purposes an ornament, she uses it as her weapon when she doesn't want to reveal her knight form (to normal humans, for example), or when she simply doesn't feel the need to transform.

It's a very refined kind of a style, actually. She uses her greatsword just like a katana - it's not that heavy to her, really. However, she also uses it as a wider shield when she needs to. The only thing about her fighting style that's very impulsive is when she has to protect the Angel of Light - she'll throw away her own life to make sure that the Angel of Light is unharmed.

Soba does get opprotunities to leave the spaceship, when she's not on her shift (though she hangs around Mimigowa Usagi far more often than she's required to). She skips school occasionally, and also goes to visit her mother in town on every other Sunday.

Although a well trusted member of the Repuren, it's important for her not to be too high up in the hierarchy, lest she poison the pure angelique by accident with any management stuff. Therefore, she's approximately Chyp's rank, maybe lower.

[edit] Genetic Technicalities:

This kind of goes with the family thing... but although she and Fudou Meshi are cousins, she takes after the alien side much more. I think it has something to do with one gene being dominant over another, or she just didn't receive one of the human ones (maybe the traits on the X chromosome of the alien are dominant to the ones on the X chromosome of humans and that's why?). In any case, as she takes after the alien side more than the human side, she's capable of teleporting in both her normal form and knight form. She also was brought up as an alien, and as such is proficient with her weapon much more than if she were human and untrained.

• Soba is the eighth character played by Cinna (Member).
• Soba was the first knight created for an Angelique in the Repuren, and the second knight in the Repuren at all.
• If Soba had a seiyuu, the best person for the job would be Masako Katsuki, who voices Tsunade from Naruto, Cloud Nine from D. Gray-Man, Zen from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Sheffield from Zero no Tsukaima - Futatsuki no Kishi, and others.
• Soba's Chinese Zodiac sign is the Snake, which is compatible with the Rooster or the Ox. Usagi is 14, and so was probably born in the year of the Rooster. Snake+Rooster=good.
