For seriously fun-loving Roman enthusiasts; for people to whom Ancient Rome is a passion as well as a field of study. We'll be discussing old times, and occasionally comparing them to new ones; announcing Roman living-history events and other gatherings; swapping Latin jokes, and maybe even doing a little Roman-themed roleplay. >({|:-)

For discussion of Roman-themed colloquia, fora, micronations, virtual realities, and other means of interaction with the ancient world. Central to our purpose will be analyses of current groups and proposals for new ones. How do people behave in Roman-themed groups, and what attracts them to these entities? How do some groups stay on-topic while others degenerate into extremist politics? We would like to know what makes a buncha Romans successful, and perhaps import the best features of several such groups into something of our own.
