Plot

Its the final qualifying match for the Galactik Football Cup with Team Akillion facing off against The Shadows. Aarch, his brother Norata and his friend Artegor are all playing on Akillians side. Aarch is considered the best striker that the Akillian team has ever had and is dribbling the ball up the field when he was fouled by a shadows player. Aarch is about to take the penalty, he charges The Breath and shoots the ball which suddenly freezes during flight and shatters in the palm of the Shadows goalkeeper. A huge blue shockwave hits the stadium and then a wall of ice and snow completly covers the stadium and then the entire planet. The explosion caused the planet to change its axis and The Breath of Akillian has vanished.

(Now)

Aarch wakes from his recollection of the explosion, he is returning to Akillian after 15 years away. Professor Clamp, one of Aarch's friends is piloting the ship as he takes it down to the planet which is now completly covered in ice and snow.

On Akillian, in the house of a mob leader, Aarch's former friend, Artegor Nexus is bribing the leader to get rid of Aarch as soon as he lands on Akillian. They are suddenly interrupted by a boy named Micro-Ice who hands the leader a wad of tickets he was supposed to be selling, claiming that no-one wants to buy tickets for the match. As Micro-Ice begins to leave, it starts to rain and the tickets suddenly melt, the leader calls at his henchmen to stop Micro-Ice but he jumps and surfs down the snow and begins to jump over the roofs of houses eventually landing in front of Aarch and Clamp. Aarch helps him up, Micro-Ice thanks him and then runs off as his persuers catch up to him.

At a house in town, Maya the fortune teller is with a hooded client, she is about to tell his fortune when she spots a braclet on the persons wrist and tells the person that he is grounded. The person takes off his hood to show that he is D'Jok her adopted son. She begins to tell him that she will not tell him about his past when Micro-Ice shoots through the window and looses his persuers.

In a cave in the snowy outskirts of the town, Rocket, a young teen is practicing his football skills against a wall engraved with numbers, striking each point successfully. He then takes a bag of plants and deliverers them for his father on a snowmobile. His father himself is Norata, he is working with plants in his families greenhouse when Aarch arrives, Norata treats Aarch like a stranger as he had abandonned Akillian soon after the ice age had begun. Norata also reveals to Aarch that he has lost his left leg (which has been replaced with a mechanical one) blaming Aarch for not supporting him after he had lost it. Rocket the arrives and recognises Aarch, Aarch leaves and Rocket follows and questions him a little before he is called back by his father.

Micro-Ice is searching his belongings, trying to find the real tickets. D'Jok watches absentmidedly and spots a trail of tracks leading to his window, the person appears to wear the same shoes as D'Jok who assures Micro-Ice that it wasn't him who took the tickets.

Meanwhile a match begins against, Akillians current team The Red Tigers and a team called The Rykers. The Rykers immediatly begin to dominate the match using their flux called The Metal Scream and as The Red Tigers don't have any flux, they are at a serious disadvantage. Aarch watches the match in the office of his former associate Adium, who is now the President of the Galactik Football league for Akillian, she asks why he returned and Aarch states that he wants to form a new team, she states that without flux, a new team would have no chance in the Galactik Football Cup, however he attains permission from her to form a team even though he didn't ask for it. Adium then recieves a call from Artegor who tells her that if she wouldn't stop Aarch, he would.

In town, D'Jok and Micro-Ice have met up with their friend Thran who shows them a new invention of his. A football with a device inside that measures the balls speed, this however makes the ball extremely heavy. The three of them then go to Planet Akillian, the towns sports bar, on the steps up to the bar they meet Sinedd, the local bad boy. Micro-Ice then notices that Sinedd is wearing the exact same shoes as D'Jok and therefore he must have taken his tickets, Micro-Ice tells Sinedd to give him back the tickets and when he claims to not have them, D'Jok threatens Sinedd's most prized possession, his Magnet Board. Sinedd reluctantly promises to return the tickets in exchange for the Magnet Board and then D'Jok, Micro-Ice and Thran all go into Planet Akillian. It is shown that Micro-Ice's Mother works as a waitress in the bar and it is thanks to them that she has the job, she delivers a tray of drinks and snacks to them as they sit down with Thran's brother, Ahito. Ahito appears to have a sleeping disorder as he falls asleep constanly.

The group then begin to watch the match between The Shadows and The Lighnings, in the lounge area below them, Aarch and Clamp are discussing how they will form a team when they are interupted by the mob leader and his henchmen. Aarch and Clamp are then attacked by the henchmen but are saved by D'Jok, Thran and Micro-Ice who use Thran's football to knock the henchmen down, Ahito also manages to prevent the ball from destroying glasses behind the bar. The leader and henchmen then leave and Aarch thanks and congradulates the group on their talents and asks if they were interested in joining a club. The group decide against it and Aarch and Clamp leave, it is not only until the group sits back down that Ahito asks if Aarch liked the way the play, D'Jok, Than and Micro-Ice are horrified that they had just turned down Aarch (who they idolize) and leave to try and catch him, but he had already vanished.
