Purpose of This Handbook

The purpose of the handbook is to help all of us, new and returning families, to easily locate answers to basic questions. Beyond basic information, we want to keep a current list of people and their specialties to contact for more complex questions.

This guidebook will be more easily created, revised, and updated if we all contribute our questions and the answers we've learned. "What questions did you have when you first started AFE?" "What questions remain?" We hope that this handbook will always remain a work in progress.

Our vision in creating this Handbook is to: • build community spirit, • increase transparency by making information and gathered resources available to all in one location (pointing to other locations), • encourage input and contribution from as many AFE members as possible.

This binder is a long version for reference, to be kept handy at the Resource Center, and once it is well filled, we are going to create a short version of the Family Handbook to be handed out to all families.
