Renel is a young Hocotatian who, after being inspired by Olimar's travels, seeks to be an explorer like him. He's usually seen wearing a hocotatian spacesuit with purple light, shoes, gloves, and backpack. He also wears a green cap... in his helmet. Weird. Anyways, he has a timid nature and doesn't have too much experiance yet, but he's got potential. If his adventures involve pikmin, he works as hard as possible to keep said pikmin alive... even if it sometimes nearly jeapordizes his adventures/life. His best friend is his pik-partner, Chiri.

History

Early Life

Like I said earlier, Renel is a young Hocotatian like any other. As he grew up, he became facinated with nature and wondered how he could seek a nature-related future... fast forward to after the events of Pikmin and Pikmin 2. Stories of Olimar's misions on the Distant Planet have spread and Renel is inspired by them. He decides to become an explorer. He wasn't sure where to start until Hocotate Freight made a special promotion: an expedition to the Distant Planet. No way was Renel going to pass this chance! And so he signed up...

Super Pikmin RPG Funtime

Details on Renel's travels here are hard to aquire since the RP was shut down early. He and a few others explored the planet somewhat and learned how to raise pikmin. Among these pikmin were new discoveries: special pikmin who seemed to bond better with people than usual. Olimar called these special pikmin "pik-partners". Renel becomes fast friends with one of these pik-partners, whom he named Chiri. Any other details about the RP are scarce. Did the expedition stop early because of an accident...? More info cannot be aquired at this time......

The Cloud

Renel met The Cloud, the enigmatic host of Anecdote 3 during, you guessed it, Anecdote 3. At first, Renel was baffled by it... as far as he knew this strange, talking, inanimate piece of cloud seemed to host the contest that is Anecdote 3. Renel later suspected The Cloud of being the one who summoned both him and Chiri to the strange world. Infact, the more he explored the world of Anecdote 3, the more suspicious he became of The Cloud. It seemed to know... well everything about this crazy world and the events that take place in it! There was even a whole army from another dimention who came here for the sole purpose of harnessing The Cloud's "power". Renel soon found himself trying desperately to unravel the secrets The Cloud, but in the end he failed and it nearly drove him insane...

Hey You

Renel met this odd bird during Anecdote 3, but he doesn't care to much for him. The first time Renel met him, it was at the info booth at Ripple Star. Hey You apparently ran it, and confused Renel a bit with his oddness. Eventually, Hey You told Renel some important info in the end, so Renel didn't think badly of him at all then...

Renel became friends with the magician ampharos in Anecdote 3. Renel first learned about him from Hey You and eventually met him while he was searching for a group to join.

Parnky

Renel met this pranky in Anecdote 3 and really likes him. At first Renel thought he only ran a weird, tiny shop in Station Square. He later realized that Parnky was actually from a rival team and loved to play tricks on everyone. Renel usually found those tricks to be extremelly hilarious, even if he fell for a bunch of them. So he considered Parnky as a friend.

Renel became extremelly sad when he learned that Parnky melted for some strange reason. Literally. Renel hopes that Parnky isn't actually dead.

AFLAC

Renel met AFLAC in Anecdote 3. At first he found AFLAC to be almost as mysterious as The Cloud himself. The first time Renel met AFLAC, he learned not only about not only Parnky's melting from him, but that Anecdote 3 was not a dream but "a searching game" and that Parnky was a "pawn" in said game. But Renel wasn't. Renel had very little idea as to what those details meant though...

Metal Sneezier

Renel met this insane robot a couple of times in Anecdote 3 and hates him a lot. The first time Renel met him, Metal Sneezier threatened his and his pikmins' lives. The second time, Renel stumbled upon a BESERK Metal Sneezier and ran away as fast as he could. Unfortunatly, it turned out that Metal Sneezier managed to kill one of Renel's pikmin and he was sad about that...
