[edit] History
The Corporate Union is a nation of over 6 Billion people located in south western New Liberalia. Founded as what had appeared to be a very bad deal in land buying and selling by a businessman who had gone bankrupt many times over, it quickly grew into an international superpower of economic and military might. The business man, Marcelle Di Costello intentionally bought the land to become a new resort island. However, after inviting a few compaines to become investors, the companies then took it upon themselves to become "investors" in another sense. They bought parcelles of the land from Marcelle, making him a very wealthy man. Creating a tax free haven, the nations then set up a government to manage the land, naming it the Corporate Union, and allowing the holder of the CEO if the Corporate Union to have his name added to the name of the nation when he/she held the office.
When the first board of directors met, they looked for a CEO. The Candidtaes were Janice Suprova of IBM, Chinua Thiango of Citigroup, founder Marcelle Di Costello and George Vionovitch of Ford. After hours upon hours of debate, the vote kept tieing. Some argued for Janice and her no nonsense work, others found Chinuas wisdom to be what the CU needed to get off the ground, some thought the founder should be the first to run the nation, and the last thought George Vionovitch's business knowledge to rank supreme over the other candidates. After the many hours, and much drinking, one of the waiters, a man by the name of Julio Trigman was serving the next drinks when a director shouted out "HOW ABOUT THAT GUY". The Representative from Walmart said 'Good enough for me", and Julio was then elected with all 15 votes of the Board of Directors.
When the Board woke up the next morning, still in their chairs, Julio was already situated in his office calling his friends about the recent news. When the board woke up, the first words uttered by the representative from Home Depot were "WE DID WHAT, REVERSE THIS NOW". After looking through the contract, they found they couldnt until 90 days after the election occured. By the suggestion of the Representative from Verizon "Maybe if we surround this guy with people who know what they are doing, he will follow their direction". They agreed and immeadiatly amended the contract to include the positions of Official Advsior, Vice CEO and Under Secretary. Peter, being the favorite for Vice CEO, quickly ran out of the room screaming "This cant be real, all my money", disqualifying him from the race. Instead, they put, who was then the nicest and most understanding of all of them (this would quickly change after being in the service of Julio), Janice Suprova as Vice CEO, Marcelle as Advisor and Chinua as Under Secretary.
As it was agreed to, no man with the background of Julio could be in charge of the Grand Corporate Union Contracted Military. They once again amended the contract to make the position of Commander-in-Chief. The only problem was, none of the people they knew of had any military experience, with the military academy just being constructed and the rest of the military being paid. They didnt want a contract guy to be Commander, but an actual Union citizen. After much searching, they found the right guy, Afzal Jeshadir, after some phone calls, and a twist of fate from ordering Jimmy Johns. A man who had worked as a pilot for Lockheed Martin and read a few books on Napoleon seemed to know enough about tactics, so they put him in as a "What the heck" candidate.
