Contact Mode

Contact Mode is Animal Crossing: Wild World's take on the Bark Mode that made Nintendogs so popular. The option can be selected from the main menu when you boot up your game. It is organised by Rover.

[edit] What It Does

While in contact mode, your DS is continuously searching for players also in Contact Mode in the local area. When two DS units in the same area find each other, they will automatically swap friend codes. When you come out of contact mode, you will be informed how many people you have swapped friend codes with.

While in contact mode you cannot play the game at all. It is advised that you close your DS and leave it to do its job.
