Dr. Israel Brown AZA #256 is a chapter of the Aleph Zadik Aleph international order located in the Tidewater area of southeastern Virginia, drawing members from the cities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake. It is a member of Virginia Council and thus Eastern Region. Founded circa 1938, it has held a strong presence in the area for nearly 75 years and is currently known throughout the region as a strong chapter. The chapter rose to international prominence in 2009 when its very own Aleph Saul Brodsky became the Grand Aleph Shaliach on International Board.
