Release Date

This game was released before the first in its series, Mario Smiters, making it a game that was released before the first in the Smiters series, the aforementioned Mario Smiters, so the first was released after the first in the series, second chronologically, which is not that logical, because having the first before the last when it is actually first is not a good idea, 'cuz it results in a very confusing second-before first storyline, but there IS NO STORYLINE, which makes for an extremely interesting scenario. Ain't that something?

Story

Like most Mario sports shames, this shame has no story due to the story-writing sector of Nintend'oh having been brainwashed into absolute and utter stupidity by evil flying cyclopoid toasters from a planet so far and so undiscovered that not even the Discovery Channel has done a special on it yet (and that's REALLY FAR OUT).

Gameplay

The gameplay is simple: win games. "Games", the uninspired term for playing, are won by making goals. Goals are won by taking the ball (made out of cheese) and stuffing it down a goalie's throat. Ain't that something, fellas?

Super Smites

A Super Smite is done when a character "Sours Up", resulting in a blinding pyrotechnics display with lots of cool electricity and cool stuff and flashing lights and the character doing somthing rather nonsensical in midair and flying and doing somthing rather uninspired. Then the ball somehow finds its way into the goalie's throat, and there is a goal. Thank you, thank you.
