The end of a relationship
From Torg Adventure
Ryan didn't end up seeing Sue the next day. Or the day after that, or even weeks after that. It took a solid week of Ryan asking when they were hanging out with Sue again before Marc admitted to the fact that the other day Sue had called him and broke it off. She had claims it wasn't going anywhere and she wanted out. Marc couldn't really say he blamed her too much, after all he was considering doing the same thing. Ryan couldn't believe what she had done. Or more more accurately what she had done because of him. Had Malc been more worried about this whole thing, then Ryan might have seriously been broken up about what he had dodge. He had fucked his best friend’s girl. Hell, he'd even hoped to get her pregnant. That kind of thing was downright unforgivable.
And he hadn't gotten a chance to talk to Sue either, as much as he had wanted to. The day after he found out about the breakup he had wanted to call her. He dialed in her number furiously, but all he got was an error message. Apparently in the time before he heard about it, she had changed phone number. He just couldn't reach her. And to say he wanted to quite a bit was no tall tail. After that previous night of passion Ryan was ready for another go, especially if it meant another chance to get a baby in Sue's belly.
It wasn't until three weeks after she had come to listen to his story that he next saw the petite blond. That morning he was waking up from a full nights rest, when he heard an odd sound coming from the kitchen. It was a voice he hadn't heard ever since the breakup. Still with his hair in a mess, and wearing nothing but a pair of boxers and an undershirt, Ryan stepped into the kitchen, rubbing the sand from the previous night out of his weary eyes. Sitting at the kitchen table in front of them was Sue, dressed in a tight fitted tank top, and short shorts. Her hair had lengthened a bit in the three weeks, now reaching down to the top of her lower back, instead of her previous shoulder length hair. Sitting on the other side of the table, looking relatively concerned, but chatting with her none the less was Marc, no affection evident in his hushed muttering.
“Oh, Ryan” Marc greeted, no evidence on his face revealing any awareness as to what had transpired between his best friend and his ex right before the breakup. “Sue came over saying she wanted to talk to you about some project the two of you were working on together before the breakup. We've just been waiting for you to get up.” Yet again his voice betrayed no hint of just how awkward that wait must have been for him if not for her.
“Huh?” he asked in blank confusion, not remembering any sort of project that the two of them were doing, and much too tired to put two and two together on the real reason as to why she was here. He simply shuffled forward and looked at Sue. He had to admit though. Her new hair looked nice. A lot more free flowing then her previously short hair. It seemed very natural. Very primal.
“Come on, Silly” She laughed as a bright smile began to shine on her face. Her pearly white teeth gleamed in her mouth as she rose uneasily to her feet and grabbed at one of his free hands, with both of her hands, and started to pull back towards his room that he had just left. All he could give was a muted grunt of confusion, too tired to really follow what was going on. She dragged him after her into his room and shut the door after her, so Malc could not overhear what the two of them were going to say. It was a weekday anyway, so Malc would be heading out in the next ten minutes or so anyway. The flat would be just Sue and Ryan.
“So....,” She slowly began, looking up at Ryan, who by this point was rapidly growing more alert where he stood, as she sunk down on to the bed in front of her.
What do they say to each other, if anything at all?
