In the morning
From Torg Adventure
You wake up to find your bed empty. Mom must have left to avoid questions from Dad. You smell bacon cooking. Everyone else is up when you wander into the eating area. Your mother is very chipper, humming to herself as she makes food. She's also wearing a flower pattern bikini top and a short green skirt, showing off lots of beautiful skin and her wonderful legs. You think sex looks good on her.
Tracy smiles quietly, glancing furtively at you and winking when she catches your eye. She's wearing a blouse also with flowers on it and a pair of jeans. The blouse has two buttons at the top unbuttoned. Once when everyone else is turned away, she flashes her boob at you and giggles. She is not having second thoughts about fucking you, it seems.
Millie still is not paying attention to anything, only staring straight ahead. But you detect her lips upturned just a tiny bit into a weak smile. Not quite a blank face. You think this is a big improvement.
Your dad has his resting bitch face on, gloomy clouds in his eyes and a scowl on his face. He's sweaty already. He only grunts when Mom puts eggs and bacon on his plate. You think he needs to get laid to wipe away the doom of the world. Mom gives the rest of you food.
You feel very good about making at least the women in the bunker happy. Maybe every morning should be like this morning. You grin at the thought of sneaking into their beds every night.
"I've been monitoring conditions outside, and I think it's time to explore the area around our bunker," Dad says with his characteristic growl. "Radiation is in the normal range, so there should be no danger from that. The biggest issue is going to be animals and survivors. I haven't heard anything on the shortwave or any of the radio bands for that matter. Perhaps the ionosphere is too disrupted."
Everyone starts talking at once. You say, "That's great! I'm going stir-crazy down here."
Your Mom says, "I'd love to see the garden and the house!"
Tracy says, "I just want to feel the wind and sun on my skin!"
Millie is still silent and unresponsive.
Dad holds up his hands, gesturing for quiet. "Quiet, please. Quiet, folks!"
Everyone takes a few seconds to settle down.
"I think that {firstname} and Tracy should go outside, since they are the most able to take care of themselves. I'll give them a Geiger counter, binoculars, and walkie-talkies. I'll give {firstname} a gun. I want just a quick sweep of the immediate neighborhood -- two hours at most. Check in by radio every 20 minutes."
Tracy looks at you with glee in her eyes. You grin back at her and wink.
"Do you really think it's safe to go out?" Mom asks.
"As safe as far as radiation, yes. We have no idea otherwise. That's why we need some recon," Dad replies.
You say, "We'll be very careful, Mom. I don't want to get eaten by zombies or mutant dogs any more than you do."
There's more talking, but it's settled. You and Tracy get ready to leave the bunker. You take a shower and get dressed in jeans, t-shirt, long-sleeved flannel shirt, and hiking boots. You head to the entrance of the bunker. Tracy and the rest are waiting for you.
What is Tracy wearing?
