It takes a while to heat up.

The dance is everything you thought it would be and more now that you and your next door neighbour Rebecca have declared your interests in each other. You had been looking forward to spending the night trying your charms on Katherine but now that you have a definite signal from Rebecca, the bright light you had seen in Katherine when she entered Rebecca's house just looks that bit duller in comparison now.
Determined to make sure Katherine has a good time regardless, you find her and her friend, you're pretty sure is called Melissa, waiting patiently by the drinks table with a round of alcopops that girls love. You thank her for the drinks and tell her you'll get the next lot. Still, at an age where you are all a little awkward around the opposite sex, you spend the first part of the evening watching the crowd. Judging girls for dresses they have worn and the elaborate and over the top hairstyles some have worn. You try and guess whos here with their actual boyfriend or girlfriend and whos been set up. This, of course, leads to who you each think is going to hook up tonight. Rebecca shooting you a very hinted look when the topic comes round.
Eventually, the band comes on and Katherine turns and asks you, "so did you want to dance?"
Sticking to your resolution of just keeping everything as friends with Kat, you say to her, "How about we all go and dance?" Indicating Melissa and Rebecca as well.
"Sure," she nods, happy to have the rest of the group as support and the four of you head to the dance floor. The band are up on the stage and you stake out a small territory just below the lead guitarist.
We spend the first set altogether, having a fantastic time to a really talented cover band. The lead singer is a very talented entertainer with a natural charisma. Partway through the second set, I leave the girls to go get us all another round of drinks. Selling the ticket to the concert handily leaving me flushed with cash for tonight. More drinking follows when Melissa picks up the next round after that. Katherine saying she needs to grab the bathroom, offers to help Melissa carry drinks back with her.
With the two girls gone, for now, you are left alone with Rebecca just as the band switches gear into a slower song. You hold your hands out to Rebecca, signalling she should come in closer to you for a slow dance. Rebecca smiles as you take her in your arms, wrapping her tight as you pull her against you. The world closes in and for that song it just the two of you. You love the feel of Rebecca's tight little body against your, the way she presses her firm breasts against your chest as she slides her satiny hips against your groin. Katherine stops you though, "its fine honestly. I get it. Mel and I were watching and we wanted to give you your drinks when the song finished."
Turning to Rebecca, Katherine continues, "besides I've known all along that Bec had the hots for you and was too stupid! to ask you anyway. I only said I go with you anyway to make sure Bec didn't stay home tonight." The band switches gear into a more upbeat song next and Katherine lets out a 'whoop' in appreciation. "Now the two of you keep dancing," she orders as she steps in close behind you and grabs Rebecca's hips, pulling all three of you into the one dancing and jumping being.
