Go downstairs

As you head downstairs, the temperature gets warmer. You pass other guards and officers on the stairs. You pass an android and another gynoid. You observe something interesting when the android passes K-8: his head doesn't move, but his eyes follow her. You can't see her eyes, but guess they do the same.

As you pass hallways on the way down, they get danker and darker. When you get to the bottom of the stairway, after four other levels, you know you are many feet below the surface. Emperor Xing is notorious for his foul prisons. You just have to follow the stench. It smells worse to the left. You head left.
