Another student, supposedly from Barry Coleson High, who did not attend the end-of-the-year trip and was therefore not thrown into the SOTF program. Matt is only referred to in Elsie Darroch's flashbacks, and not much is known about him. What is known is that he has been Elsie's off again/on again boyfriend since the eighth grade. He is also the cousin of fellow SOTF participant Tayli E. Vreeland. Matt is a character who mainly comes up in flashbacks that Elsie has regarding her pregnancy. Other than the fact that he is the father of Elsie's unborn child, not many details about Matt Vreeland have been disclosed.

On a side note, Matt Vreeland was also the tentative name of a character in one of Pickle's OBRs (Original Battle Royale).
