Maddox, even as a child, was never fulfilled by anything but combat. He had only one other interest in life, it being his wife. Even though he abandoned her and her unborn son to fight. Few people would say that he was talkative, and if he did talk, it was about a battle. Having his main joy in life being combat, he never showed emotion unless he was in some sort of fight. He'd even congratulate a foe for hitting him, since even though he still felt pain, his joy of combat hid his pain from showing.

Maddox has bronze hair, like most of his family. He was a strong look in his face, but also looks like he is still 30. He wears a purple trenchcoat, with a red trim, which has a flap on the left side which is secured to the rest of the jacket by a leather fabric. He wears white pants and leather boots. His shield bears the seal of the Endal nation, which bears a large cut right through it. His sword, which he dubs the Hyperion, has a sheath which he can remove from his shield, for occasions where he would fight an opponent all out.

Maddox was born into the Hyperion family, which, as tradition, was expected to join the military. His twin brother, Daren, was being trained by thier father in the art of fencing when he was growing up. Maddox, however, was trained by his grandfather, who was now retired, in a different sword style, which he called, Flaming Blade Hyperion style. The style was a little unorthadox, using what seemed like regular Endallian swords styles, however adapted to feinting swings, near suicidal attacks, and harnessing natural strength to destroy blades.
When he and his brother became 17, Maddox decided to start his training, taking his grandfathers old Katzbalger to use in combat. During his travels, he waas hired as a mercenary and killed many people. He souldn't wait to fight in war, where the odds where always changing into one armies favor to the other and the increase of people he had the chance of killing. He joined a mercenary guild at 19, and at 20, he slaughtered them all and took thier money to buy a Brave Sword, which he named Hyperion. He carried this sword alongside him, with all the other equipment he had, so when he was strong enough he would use it in combat and kill even more.
At 21, he returned home and enlisted in the army. He was grouped into the infantry alongside his brother, who, if it wasn't for the trenchcoat, would've never recongized his brother. as the years passed, both of them competed and rose up the ranks. Daren ended up becoming a General, and commanded his own unit, with Maddox as his second in command. Due to recent events, it seems that Endal will soon become neutral in any wars that would take place. This didn't sit well with Maddox, who was now 30. Daren's unit was sent to stop a revolt in one of the towns on the border. When they arrived at the scene, Maddox took twenty men and ran in, with Maddox killing 20 men, and with about fourty different wounds. He finally found the commanding officer. He wounded the man with his Katzbalger, but he then sent it crashing into the ground behind him, and took out his Hyperion. The took exchanged blows and then, Maddox kicked the guy's head wih such force, the man was out cold before he hit the ground. Using his Hyperion, he ending the man's life.
After the battle came to a close, Maddox nearly feinted from his injuries. Daren arrived at the site of Maddox's fight and went ot check on him. Maddox refused his help, went and grabbed his shield, and then walked off, leaving his brother there. Daren couldn't stop him, in fear for his own life. After that, Maddox disappeared, and his wife had his son Lennox. Maddox broke all ties with Endal when he left the battle.
For the next 16 years, he would fight and fight, and keep getting severely wounded, halting his training. Then he was injured so bad, he had let himself become weak. Then when, he was able to move train 2 years later, he saw a man who resembled him. After exchanging words with him, he found out who he must be. He knew it was his son, but never disclosed this info to Lennox. After that, he became a sword for hire, but refused to take any mission against Endal, and fled from any representative of Endal.
