Venus
From Scope F70076
Jan 2, 2009. The visibility was not very good, there were many clouds. Almost two hours after the sunset it was not difficult at all to see Venus, as it is the brightest object in the sky next to Moon. Through the 12.5 mm eyepiece Venus looked very small, I also saw it like through a fog. But I clearly saw the disk and it looked like a half-moon, with exactly half of the disk visible. It was completely white, there were no other details.
I also tried to look at Venus through my 50 mm spotting scope, but because of some aberration I saw it like some kind of comet, being never able to focus better. This proves again that some inferior scopes are useless for astronomical observation.
