Power Metal UK is a website/organisation set up to help promote the growth of metal in the UK, and to provide exposure for the hottest unsigned UK bands.
Power Metal UK was founded in Yorkshire, mainly by long serving metal fans Glyn, Sherry, and Jono.
The website hosts interviews, gig and CD reviews, competitions, and details on UK unsigned bands.
As an organisation, Power Metal UK promote the annual Dominion Festival, are sponsors of the UK edition of Progpower Festival, and have a network of members throughout the country, for whom they book tours and gigs for both British and international bands.
All Power Metal UK festivals and gigs place an emphasis on giving high profile opportunities to unsigned UK bands, as well as bringing bigger name international acts over to the UK.
