Bloodstock is the UK's premier metal fest. Started by Paul Gregory and Vince Brotheridge in 2001, it has gone from a small cult festival to a sold out internationally respected event.

It is held every September at the Assembly Rooms in Derby.

The festival can be held responsible for helping many European and British bands gain recognition, and in increasing the popularity of power metal in the UK.
