Story

It begins when Langley quickly ushers the party, who were collectively visiting the square, into the temple of mulinel when the city is besieged by a frost worm attack. Though he claimed it was for their own safety, Langley was actually seeking some tough looking people to guard the chalice of water while the guard were busy confronting the threat. Little did he know that his guards would actually be needed, as a consort of Ice elves teleported into the temple, seeking to steal the chalice for themselves. They were eventually thwarted.

The high priest of the temple, known as Alain, seemed to see potential in these young ones, and sent them to verify the status of a small mining town responsible for much of Krasevae's raw material. Once reached, [Zakrit] was truly in a state of absolute destruction, many of the buildings had been leveled. The local head of operations, a dwarf named Krast, instructed them back to Krasevae to send some assistance.

Once they returned, Alain assured them that help would be sent to Krasevae, and proposed a theory as to why the frost worm attacks were growing so frequent. An artifact known as Mulinel's Tear, thought to repel the frost worms from deep under the temple, may have been losing power. Alain gave to them a scroll of prayers said to strengthen the Artifact, and comissioned a young initatie named Aaron to guide them to the bottom.

However, when the rites were read upon the mystic stone, it shattered. The column of water that surrounded it instantly froze to ice. The party made their way back to the surface to find Alain gone, the chalice missing, and the city besieged not only by frost worms but by a legion of Ice elves. The party fled from what seemed to be imminent destruction, urged by the guards to seek help in Passel, a stronghold of the Regal Knights.

As they fled, a huge sphere of ice enclosed the city, presumably the work of Mulinel. The Ice elves and the frost worms could no longer penetrate the city walls. Krasevae would survive, at least, for now. They also escaped the clutches of a frost worm as they franticly escaped the city.

They met with regal lord Solomon, who decided to send one of his subordinate's knights (Sonya Detrelle) along with the party to investigate the fate of Krasevae. When they entered the ice globe, the atmosphere was dark and inhospitable. Thanks to the massive Unreality required to save Krasevae, strange events were happening inside. The party drove back a horde of undead that were the animated remains of the former guard.
