Tristina Darcy
- Name: Tristina Hilarie Darcy
- Bloodline: Pureblood
- Birthplace: London, England
- Class:: Born upper, raised lower
- Year: 6th
- House: Hufflepuff
- Wand: Willow and unicorn hair
Personality
Tristina is very much the ‘cliché’ Hufflepuff, but in odd ways. She has the two biggest traits of the house, of course loyalty and is very hardworking. Even if it’s a course that she despises, she works her butt off to keep herself afloat. Same goes for every aspect of her life. She’s open-minded and very trustworthy. Tristina tends to shy up a little around people she doesn’t know… but not much. Mostly, she’s a friendly and outgoing girl, but only completely open and honest with her closest friends
Magically, she’s best at Potions and Charms. She adores both classes and sees them, along with Transfiguration, as being the most useful out of everything. She’s decent at Divination when she wants to be/tries, but is only mildly interested by the subject.
She’s horribly cynical and pessimistic, since her past is… well, less than pleasant. Tristina has a weakness for her friends as well—she’s practically loyal to the grave. She’s willing to do anything and everything for their comfort and safety. She tends to be a bit too honest sometimes and her lack of thinking before speaking can get her into trouble. She doesn’t trust people easily and tends to not be very forward and completely open with any people outside of her closest friends. Losing her parents made her a bit weary of trusting outside folk. Yes, she’s kind and outgoing, but it takes quite a bit for her to get really close to anyone.
Magically, she’s horrid at the ‘logic’ classes. Anything she may still be in that’s not a wandwork/potions class ,is because of tutoring she may have gotten from friends. Her Arithmancy and Ancient Runes skills are completely non-existent, and, she’s also horrible at Herbology. She kills every plant she touches.
Physical Description
Tris is about 5'5" tall and rather skinny with olive coloured skin with a slender build. She has long blonde hair that she keeps curly and hazel eyes with a slight hint of green to them. She's on the girly side, always fashionably dressed with makeup, though it's a natural look that she pulls together quite well.
History
Well, as stated, Tristina was born into a Pureblood family, and was happy for years. Unlike some of her friends, her parents had learned to accept different bloodlines, something that would eventually lead to their deaths. When living, they worked in a small restaurant they owned together, and were quite the happy family. Their deaths affected Trista greatly.
Growing up, she was always a bit on the shy and quiet side. She never went out of her way to be friendly to lots of people, preferring the company of those she was closest to already, and her pets. While she wasn’t social, she always made it a point to be friendly and kind. She has always been soft-spoken and well mannered as well, with a sense of being laid back and empathetic. She played with most kids her age and thought nothing strange of Muggleborns, Halfbloods… anyone. They were all the same in her eyes.
One day, after going home from her best friend’s house, she found a relative in the home her parents owned. The relative told her no details of what had happened, just that her parents were gone, and she would have to live in a new home. Being very elitist, nobody in the rest of the family wanted anything to do with a Muggle-lover, so she was shipped to an orphanage, eventually adopted by a Muggle family. Kind as that family was, they were never fully accepting of magic, and essentially, cut off her contact with the wizarding world. It wasn’t until, after receiving her letter and much begging and pleading, she was allowed to attend Hogwarts. All of this led her to become withdrawn and… well, cynical and pessimistic. She never really looked on the ‘bright’ side of things after that.
At school, she was sorted into Hufflepuff, which initially took the girl by surprise. She’d been expecting to be sorted into another house, but once she realized her characteristics, she noticed that Hufflepuff was a perfect fit for her. For her first two or three years, she was a bit shy and quiet, only sticking with the people she knew previous to her ‘disappearance’. After that, however, she opened a bit more and became more social and outgoing.
She’s friendly, yes, and outgoing, and all of that fun stuff, but she’s also very cynical and pessimistic. Also, she tends to make bad jokes at bad times, without really thinking about it; it just comes naturally to her.
Relationships
Dariana Davison is Tris' BFF FOR LIFE. They were friends in childhood, but when Tris' parents died and she moved, they were unable to keep contact with each other. On the first day of school, however, they met once more on the train. There was an immediate reconnection and they've been best friends ever since.
Darin DeLouise is Tris' MALE BFF. They have an odd sort of relationship that ranges from very flirty to completely serious. Tris is, quite possibly, one of the only people who KNOWS about that side of Darin, and in return he's one of the VERY few she opens up to.
Bryant Sawyer. The boy she's known since she moved in with her second family. They went to Muggle primary school with one another, and ended up attending Hogwarts together. Their friendship consists of much snarking and bantering with one another. Though she's unwilling to admit it, she actually does like the guy.

Hufflepuff, the Workers:
Workers and Farmers are the salt of the earth, figuratively if not literally. They share traits with Hufflepuffs - industry and equanimity. Helga Hufflepuff was very probably born of Farmers.

Astrology
Hufflepuff Scorpio
Scorpio the Scorpion. Fixed, water, yin - planetary rulers: Mars and Pluto. Keywords: "I DESIRE"
Scorpio is the eighth house of the Zodiac and governs the genitalia. Positive traits include magnetic charisma, ambition, drive, a penetrating mind, curiosity, intensity of focus, emotional depth, consistency, persistence, willpower, and the potential for inner transformation and regeneration; negative traits include selfishness, obsessiveness, vindictiveness, hypersensitivity, ruthlessness, cynicism, an inability to understand the word "moderation," and jealousy. It is said that Scorpios embody both the best and the worst of all that are born under the stars, and that there are three kinds of Scorpios: wicked scorpions, cunning serpents, and saintly eagles. What each Scorpio becomes is entirely up to that Scorpio.
Hufflepuff
This is one of the more bizarre signs to get sorted into House Hufflepuff, but every now and then it happens. It's not as contradictory as one would think. Scorpio is perfectly happy to work behind the scenes without getting much recognition, provided that work actually gets something meaningful done and results in personal success; success means different things to different people, and Hufflepuff Scorpios tend to define success as "accomplishment" rather than as "prestige." These Hufflepuffs are indefatigable. They have the energy and the willpower to keep going even when everyone else around them has quit. They are workaholics to an extreme, if they are obsessed with a particular project; otherwise, they are happy to devote their prodigious energies to their family and friends, to whom they are devoted. Scorpio is often associated with the serpents of Aesculapius, demi-god of medicine, and the social orientation and skill at herbals that Hufflepuff wizards exhibit make the Scorpio Hufflepuff a natural healer.
Dragon
The Dragon is one of the most powerful and lucky Signs of the Chinese Zodiac. Its warm heart makes the Dragon's brash, fiery energy far more palatable. This is a giving, intelligent and tenacious Sign that knows exactly what it wants and is determined to get it. Dragons possess a certain natural, charming charisma that ensures they can always influence their peers and often find themselves the center of attention in social situations. This Sign is truly blessed, too; Dragons are considered to be very lucky in love! The Dragon's friends are always keen to hear what this firebrand has to say and when it comes to dispensing advice, the Dragon has the floor.
Its ego can get in the Dragon's way, but even so, this larger-than-life creature has a knack for initiating projects and keeping the troops motivated. According to Dragons, it's their natural born right to lead the way -- because who else could do it so surely and so well? As lucky as they are, Dragons have a good chance of achieving considerable material wealth during their lifetimes, although it isn't mere money that's this Sign's main motivation. Power is what the Dragon wants and truly believes it deserves. Dragons are quite the opportunists, forever searching for ways in which to consolidate their considerable power. Contrary to all this strength and fire, a weakened Dragon is a sad sack, a creature that refuses to take defeat with even a modicum of grace.
The role of leader is the only one the Dragon wants, the better from which to give orders and be king of the hill. They make solid leaders, too, knowing instinctively what needs to be done to stay on top. Crossing the Dragon is never a good idea -- this beast can singe! A valuable life lesson for this clever creature would be to absorb the principles of flexibility, compassion and tolerance. Being high and mighty can serve to inspire others, but it also keeps Dragons from living their lives to the fullest. If Dragons can learn to balance their quest for success with an appreciation for the little things, their life will be more than worthwhile.
Dragon/Scorpio
Smart people, when they see a Scorpio/Dragon run. The adventuresome stick around and find out that whatever it is, it won't be boring. This is because the frightening combo magnifies each other, and all that is bad in a Dragon and all that is bad in a Scorpio are multiplied. Of course, the same thing holds true for the good things (and there are some good things about a Dragon/Scorpio -- they don't hold a grudge, since they just like quick revenge, and they do like to have fun. A Dragon/Scorpio will always demand to be the center of attention.
