  • Staines Res: 2 Turnstone, 4 Sanderling, 1 sum plumage Knot, 2 Dunlin, 1 Ringed Plover & 6+ Common Sandpiper (P. Naylor per AS)
  • Swanscombe Marsh: 1 Sandwich Tern on Thames late pm. Also 2 Common Sandpiper, 30+ Sand Martin (Dave Miller).
  • Central Park, East Ham: Ring Necked Parakeet x1 (Peter Fallan)
  • Walthamstow Res: Sanderling on NE side of Lockwood at 0820 - still present at 1630 according to another observer. Also 2 Garganey, 2 Dunlin, 7 Com Sands, fem Shoveler, 31 Swifts (David Callahan).
  • Regents Park: 1 Sand Martin over the lake 8.00am, 1 Willow Warbler singing and 2 juv Peregrines play fighting at 1.25pm(Tony Duckett).
  • Barnes WWT: 1m Garganey, Little Egret, Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 60+ Lapwing (Matthew Palmer). Also 1 Green Sandpiper (Gabriel Jamie)
  • Alexandra Park: 1 Sand Martin, 1 Kingfisher (Gareth Richards).
  • Queen Elizabeth II Res: 1 Sanderling and 1 Dunlin (Dave Harris)

August 2 2006

  • Walton Res: 3 Sanderling through early morning, also female RC Pochard (Dave Harris).
  • Debden House Camp Site: Tawny Owl (heard), Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Poplar Hawk Moth. (Peter Fallan)
  • Walthamstow Res (North side): 2 Garganey (ad fem / imm), 3 Dunlin (1 sum / 2 win plum), Skylark, 10 Com Sands, 5 Stock Doves plus 2 Painted Ladies (David Callahan).
  • Beddington SF: juvenile Arctic Tern, also Greenshank and 32 Green Sandpipers (BFBG)
  • Croxley Common Moor: adult male Red-backed Shrike still present at TQ082948; from Grand Union Canal bridge take footpath south for 200m to view west (Birdguides)

  • King George VI Reservoir: 13 Whimbrel circled reservoir then flew off southwest at 09:15 (Birdguides)
  • Regents Park: 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Chiffchaff, 5 Blackcaps, Ring-necked Parakeet and Yellow-legged Gull adult& 1stw(Tony Duckett).
