  • Staines Res: Great Northern Diver, adult on the south basin and juvenile on the north, early afternoon. Also a first-winter Yellow-legged Gull (Rob Innes).

At least 2 Water Pipits Stone Barges, 200 Redshank, 100 Dunlin, 30+ Blackwits,1 Barwit, mostly on one stone barge (Bob Watts).

Possible white-phase Gyrfalcon on pylon on No.3 reservoir at 2pm, flew south on Walthamstow Marsh and landed on another pylon (Peter Lambert, Dan England, Stephen Harris & Earl Johnson finder).
  • Rainham Marshes: female Hen Harrier over silt lagoons at 08.45 (DM per AS).
  • Beddington SF: 2 White-fronted Goose flew SW, 1 Common Snipe, 1 Water Pipit (Dip or Glory).
  • Totteridge Valley: One Firecrest seen this morning at Oakfields wood, Mill Hill, associating with Long-tailed Tits. c20-40m along the footpath that starts at the junction of Partingdale Lane and The Ridgeway/Bittacy Hill (TQ236923) (Ian Ellis/John Colmans).
  • Bookham Common: Firecrest showing well at 10:00 hrs; from Tunnel car park, take the main track for 100 yards. Bird was feeding on left side of track, and associating with large mixed flock (Simon Buckingham).
