A. T. BONNETT

Van Buren county, Iowa, had an accession to her population on March 12, 1842, by the birth, at that time, of the subject of this sketch. His parents took him to Jefferson county in that state when quite young, from thence they crossed the plains to Oregon in 1854, and the same year settled in Eugene City, Lane County, where they remained until the spring of 1856, when they settled on a farm in Springfield precinct. Mr. Bonnett took a residence in Wasco county, then in Willamette precinct, Lane county; thence to his present farm located northeast from Eugene City three miles. He married Catherine E. Couch, January 1, 1868, they have two children.
