In 1978, Martha H. DeWees, DVM, established McKenzie Animal Hospital. The hospital was awarded certification as a member hospital in the American Animal Hospital Association in 1979. In 2002 the hospital more than doubled the hospital size with the new addition and renovation of the existing facility.
