His parents took him to Jefferson county in that state when quite young, from thence they crossed the plains to Oregon in [[1854]], and the same year settled in [[Eugene]] City, [[Lane County]], where they remained until the spring of [[1856]], when they settled on a farm in Springfield precinct. Mr. Bonnett took a residence in Wasco county, then in Willamette precinct, Lane county; thence to his present farm located northeast from Eugene City three miles.
