Paul Brattain was born [[December 28]], 1801 in North Carolina. Paul arrived in Oregon from Iowa in [[1852]] and was a farmer in Lane County. He was a Republican representative of [[Lane County]] in the [[1857]] Constitutional Convention Of Oregon held in Salem [[August 17]] to [[September 18]], 1857.
