Ask the Maid Who's Staying

You approach the maid and tap her on the shoulder. She jumps and gasps, having not heard you come up behind her. Turning on her heels, she looks angry, until she realizes who you are.
The maid is an older woman, most likely in her mid forties. She has long brown hair that looks dry and worn, and a quite lumpy shape beneath her frock. She speaks in a raspy voice, and though she's not the most attractive, she does have a pretty face and very shapely lips.
"My liege," she says. "You startled me." She curtsies. "How may I help you?"
