Ask her more about herself

You press her on to tell you more about her life, but she seems to be uncomfortable with the idea. She gives you short answers, and doesn't divulge much more than surface information. You keep going until she's obviously done with the conversation.
"Well," she says, getting to her feet. "It's getting late and I've much to do. If you'll excuse me, I must get on with my day."
She ushers you out of the house, politely thanks you for stopping by, and shuts the door when you've mounted your horse.
You're not sure why she reacted so badly to your interest, but what's done is done.
