Jacob Stapleton is a character in Thompson Colton: Agent of MI3. He is the villain of the episode "A Murder in the Middle of Summer", and the prime suspect of twelve murders in the small, isolated town of Knaptoft in Leicestershire. Prior to his involvement in the series, he was a member of one of the richer families, and was elected as one of the village leaders, though under strict skepticism.
He was born into the House of Stapleton prematurely, roughly at seven and a half months after conception. For this, he was always treated differently, and he strongly resented that throughout his life. He could not even advance past an executive-level position in his family business, even though he was the second son of the CEO, his father.
