Programming track connected to main layout

If your programming track is an isolated siding on your main layout, connected through a DPDT switch Digitrax 'official' postion is that you may have issues when running a loco between the two. A discussion in the group seemed to suggest that this had never been observed, but it may be something to be aware of. My belief (and, of course, YMMV) is as long as the DPDT is in 'run' mode when entering the siding and again when you leave (and you can't leave otherwise!) you should not see any problems.
