The Layout connection box should show 'none' to indicate that you have not yet selected the interface device which you are using to connect JMRI to your Command Station/layout.

Click on the arrow on the right side of this box and use the drop down items to select your interface device.

The serial port box should show 'none'. This indicates that you have not yet selected the com port by which your interface device is connected to the computer.

The GUI Style section determines how the program will look on your commputer screen. This can be set as you choose.

When you are finished click on Save.
