The population between Illinois and the Everglades are about the same, but New Orleans has a smaller population compared to Illinois and the Everglades. The population of New Orleans would be inaccurate though because of Hurrican Katrina. A new census will have to be done.

The population is high for having such a high flood rate, but there are not very many people there right now becuase the flood map shows that it is very flooded there right now.
