Chief Librarian

The "Chief Librarian" is the title of the highest-ranking librarian, archivist, or researcher in an institution. Chief Librarians are employed in libraries and universities and also have positions in any type of establishment that has a large archive.
A continent's government has a Chief Librarian as well, since a government has a wealth of information and files that need sorting and revising. Chief Librarians for governments also have a seat on the government's Ruling Council, if one exists.
Fourth Wall: Chief Librarian is a term used in the game Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
