Rebecca St. John's Party Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. shortening (if frying meatballs)
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle Heinz chili sauce
  • 1 (10 oz.) jar grape jelly

Directions

Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, onions, milk, parsley, salt, pepper, and egg. Form into 1 inch meatballs. Either fry in 1/4 cup shortening and drain well or bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until done.

Heat chili sauce and grape jelly in saucepan until jelly melts. Combine meatballs and sauce in crock pot and place on LOW for 2 to 3 hours before serving.
