Prolog

I have an odd urge to play a Pirates RP since a while already. And since you all suck at reading my mind, I think I will propose and offer to run one myself :P

Ok, I'd go for a Classical, Cinematic, Not overly serious (but please not silly) style. As opposed to Contaminated, I would like to keep this one lightly GMed, fast and with massive amounts of players.

So let me know if you have interest, or let me know what would need to change to make you interested... oh yeah, there is 'some' plot, I just didn't decide on which one and how much, but it's a Pirate's RP most probably on Earth or a very close alternate, even thought I won't be that technical there.

Setting

(Technically Alternate) Earth of the late middle of the Seafaring, Colonial age. Spain, Portugal, England, France and to a lesser extend Italy, Holland and Germany are battling for land and gold and exotic good. Colonies, Governors, Fortresses, trade, war, Politics. This takes place in the Caribbean, where else? Central_america.jpg

Magic is 'not' obviously existent. Though there of course are Shamans and and other people who 'believe' in Magic. I don't exactly have something about Non-European chars.. Chinese or Native Americans or whatever. Though I would find it a style breach if you'd 'mix' stuff... like a French Fencer wielding a Katana, or an African Tribal warrior operating a Musket... without very good explanation.

It might be up to three Allied Ships with a common 'base' of sorts.

Tortuga is one of the last free cities and thus overly often visited by pirates and out of reach of most troops. It is NOT a hellhole of Pirates, honest man and woman life work and trade there as well. It is unwritten law that these peasants are to be left alone!

Plot

There will be plot <.< >.> not overly complicated or surprising plot, but there will be some.

Chars

Heh, Pirate campaigns bear the best possibility for unusual backgrounds, wild pasts and tragic twists of fate. Old enemies, Reputations. It is highly likely that your Chars know each other at least remotely.
