You are sailing in a boat somewhere off the coast of Scandinavia with your large crew of vikings. Your fellow raiders and you are feeling particularly bloodthirsty today. Many of the raiders are beginning to quarrel among themselves while the ship idly floats. Suddenly, a huge bearded man by the name of Grunki approaches your position. He is holding a map in one of his hands. "Your map" he says You look at it and see the whole world. To the west is Anglia, a green isle inhabited by sheep and man alike. They say it is a land of Dragons and Goblins. To the south-west is the Kingdom of Francia, land of the Franks. Knights, nobles, and bread make up the primary population. To the south is a land known as Germania. Many kings and dukes rule together under one central Emperor. To the southeast is a land inhabited by the Poles and Wends. It is a land of mountains and rivers. And to the east...to the east is a land of the Slavs and Mongols. It is known for it's bitter cold. And to the far West...well everyone knows that it is inhabited by sea-serpents and eventually falls into an internal pit of death. Of course, there's always the lands beyond your map...
