You arrive at school to find it completely deserted. "Not exactly a good sign when the teachers don't even show up." Roland notes.
"Funny, I don't seem to remember wishing for a sarcastic driver," you reply. Then you hear some laughter in the back. "I'll see who's there. Roland, keep the engine running."
You walk out to investigate. "I'll join you," Amina says as she runs up beside you. The two of you find a couple of girls chatting it up in the courtyard. One of them turns and sees you.
"Selena! C'mon over!"
"Hi Stacy, Lynn." you greet your friends. Lynn is one of the most popular girls in school, the typical blonde cheerleader type, full of energy and exuberance. Her friend, Stacy, is quieter but still just as fun to be around.
"Hello, I'm Amina." Amina introduces herself.
"Hi Amina." Lynn says happily, then turns to you. "What are you doing at school today, Selena? Classes are cancelled, remember?"
"Oh yeah, teacher meetings all day." You feel like an idiot for forgetting.
"Ah well, since you're here, you want to go swimming with us? We're sneaking in to the pool!" Lynn was always known for being daring and outrageous, she would be willing to try just about anything.
"But I don't have my swimsuit." You absentmindedly remember that you could easily wish yourself a pair, but realize that it might raise questions from your friends now.
"Don't worry, neither do we!" Lynn replies with a wink. "Amina, you the exhibitionist type?"
Amina shrugs, "I do whatever Selena wishes."
Lynn turns back to you, "Well, Selena? It's up to you. Just a quick dip in the pool."
