Wait for her to jump into the water

She jumps without looking too closely at you, but once she's in the water she sees your writhing tentacles and naked body and screams underwater.
You're faster, though, and you pounce upon her, wrapping your tentacles around her body. Quick as lightning, you shoot your tongue into her mouth and throat and pump stem cells into her lungs. You pull out just as fast.
"There. You air now."
The stem cells work to convert her lungs to supporting water. She's still horrified, but momentarily amazed by being able to breathe underwater.
"No, I've changed my mind! I don't want to be a mermaid!"
"Shhhhh..." you say, which comes across more like a purr. "This life better."
You wrap your tentacles around her and rush off down into the depths. The velocity tears off her swimsuit as she struggles, unable to tear herself away from your clutches.
