You decide to wait. Just a few seconds.

Unfortunately, it's a few seconds too many. The door shatters into pieces and zombies pour out, overwhelming you before you can fire. You are swarmed and go down, feeling teeth pierce your flesh in several places. The last thing you see before darkness takes you is Ben dropping the pistol and fleeing in panic as more zombies chase him.
