The strange feeling continues to bother you. Although you like the watch very much, and although your reason tells you that you are just imagining things, you can't shake off the feeling that this watch isn't just an ordinary watch. Trusting your instincts, you decide to destroy the watch. After all, you are unsure about its origins, and it's better to be safe than sorry.
You take one long final look at it, and then bashed it with a paperweight. In less than a minute, it is gone. You dump the shreds into the trash.
The next morning, you tell your Dad and Mom about the gift that you found under your pillow. They tell you that they never gave you a watch for your birthday. You shiver as you think about where the gift may have come from. You can only wonder... but you'll never know.
