Sit next to the brunette and chat

You walk over and settle next to the girl.

"Hi," she says. "I'm Abbie."

"Jack," you reply. "What brings you here today?"

Abbie giggles. "They have really good ice cream."

You consume some of yours. "So they do. What are you studying?"

"Just a sophomore," she chuckles. "Still undecided. Thinking about doing sociology."

"Freshman, here," you grin. "I figure I'll take some courses this year and see what I like."

You chat pleasantly with her for a few more minutes, until you both have finished up. Your roommates, you notice, have wandered off.
