Well, you're supposed to let Ruairi think you're a harmless noble girl so you should probably behave like one. "I'll ride the carriage like a good girl for a change I guess" You say more to yourself than Duran, who raises an eyebrow and nods at you.
Sitting in the carriage, time seems to go by in a crawl as you fight against boredom while doing your best to zone out of the well-meant advice of your maids. You idly wonder how they manage to keep talking about all kinds of utterly boring stuff like that for hours and sound like they're happy to talk about it. Must be some weird woman thing. Oh wait, you're a woman too..
By the time you're on the brink of preparing dinner by putting all of your maids in a pot and stewing them, you finally arrive at the village where you're supposed to meet up with ruairi's people. From the looks of it, they have yet to arrive.
Offcourse, you could just buy some fresh horses and ride ahead with the guards, ditching the carriage that is threatening your sanity. It would break your 'harmless noble girl' cover however...
