SSB CORP MALE SKIP
From Create Your Own Story
"Alright, your choice captain." His voice goes numb again, and he says in a pace so quick you almost miss it, "Thank you for choosing Symbiosis Enterprise's, your number one provider of everything." Not very subtle, are they? "My name is Wolcott Burgess, if you have any questions or concerns please direct them to Symbiosis Enterprise's customer support on station 4529105. Symbiosis Enterprise's wishes you a great day."
The comm channel goes dead, and you pull into the main hanger. Your nav computer has been updated with the location of your landing pad, and you glide in with practiced ease. The landing pad locks your ship in place before descending to the belly of the station, depositing your ship in its own compartment several stories down from the surface of the hanger. When your ship is firmly in place, the elevator ascends to the surface again to pick up more landing spacecraft.
You remove your helmet and lean back with a sigh. For the past two weeks you've been confined to your ship's cockpit and living quarters, and though you wouldn't exactly call the artificial gravity of the space station "Solid ground," you realize that your legs will appreciate the space to stretch. You deposit your helmet in the chair and remove your flight suit before putting on your civilian clothes.
As you exit your ship, you step down your ship's ramp into the artificial oxygen of the space station. Your legs take a second to adjust to the open metal floor, but after a few strides you're confident that you won't fall over.
There's a young woman walking towards you, and you realize that this is probably the technician Burgess sent for you. As you get closer you notice that she's even younger than you had originally thought. How was someone already a Sym technician if they were so young?
When the two of you meet she holds out a hand, and you have to bend a bit to reach it. "Dr. Lydia Albright," she says, as if that's something you'd expect to hear from someone her age. "I'm here to do your scan. Please strip."
"Wait, what?" You definitely don't remember that from the last time you were here. "Why do I have to take my clothes off?"
Lydia looks down at her tablet and says in rapid fire, "All unaffiliated pilots landing for the first time on a Symbiosis Enterprise's station must receive a full medical examination prior to the scan." She looks up and says, "That's you, captain. Would you be more comfortable back on your ship?"
"I'm not doing the scan, little girl. I've got places to be."
She furrows her eyebrows, "Do not call me that. And I was sent down here to perform this scan, so are we doing this or what?"
Her face looks incredibly frustrated, and in the strange lighting you can't help but notice how cute she looks when she's angry. The way her eyes reflect the light of the planet outside, her flat, heaving chest, those long legs under her tight fitting doctor's uniform...
