Rescue/I'll fight him.

From Create Your Own Story

I tell Alex to run, and I can tell that he's had enough conflict for the night, because he runs. The man comes down and glares at me.

"I stalked you for a whole fucking month! You think that I'm just going to let you off because you managed to make it this far?" He comes towards me, cracking his knuckles and stepping out of complete shadow coverage. He's wearing a mask that shows nothing but his eyes, and is unidentifiable.

"I did everything you wanted me to! I stole, and I murdered! I'm never gonna get to live a normal life ever again! You have ruined me! Isn't that enough?" I scream at him, tears beginning to well up.

He throws a punch into my left cheek, stunning me and bringing me to the ground. As I sit there in my daze, I know exactly where he's going. Carol's chamber. I know that he's going for the shotgun, going for the still usable piece that went over the catwalk and into the back of the chamber.

He's got a spare shell, I think. He's got a spare shell and he's planning on blowing my fucking brains out with it! I slowly stand back up, and run after him. As I run at him, he grabs a bottle that was lying near Carol's body, and in one fluid movement, smashes it on the ground and spins around, tearing a large gash in the side of my throat and opening my jugular vein.

Instinctively, my hands fly up at the wound and I fall to my knees. I pull my hands away and see that they are soaked in blood. I can also feel it literally spraying outwards, coating the floor, Carol, and the man in my own sick sprinkler. Slowly, I begin to get weaker, and fall to my side. As my vision finally fades, this whole ordeal that seemed to last minutes yet only took seconds is over, along with my life.

Alex drives away, knowing that I've taken too long inside and that I'm gone.

The end.
