Wartortle is sent into a spiral
Tackle! Bite!
Dewgong is taken by surprise

Go Pikachu!

Still bewildered, Dewgong has no time to dodge the electrical attack
Dewgong faints
"Return" Thomas says sourly. Though bitter he admits defeat and shakes your hand. Nerei claps
"Haha, well done, well done, bravo!" she praises
"I haven't seen a battle like that in ages. Samuel was right to choose you. I'm sorry Thomas, but he did win fair and square. Your Pokémon worked wonderfully together. This is yours" Nerei hands you the egg and the case
"And I'm aware of his involvement with those rebel-rousers. I dare say, you put him in his place" Nerei whispers
"As a token of my gratitude..." she bends over to Pikachu and hands it a glowing blue orb which disappears
"Your Pikachu now knows Surf. Use it to cross the stream" Leaning up, she hands you a disc
"That is a HM. A Hidden Machine. It contains Surf. Teach it to Wartortle, but remember, HM moves are not so easily forgotten"
Suddenly the egg glows. Lifting the glass dome, you carry the base. Morphing, the glow transforms into a Dratini. You greet it with a hello. Dratini's eyes grin as it wags its tail.
"Use the Ultra ball to catch it" Nerei advises. You look over to Thomas. You seen him reflecting over his actions.
"I'm sorry" he whispers
Looking sadly at Dratini you walk over to Thomas. As you and Dratini return understanding smiles, you place Dratini down. It heads towards Thomas
"Drati"
"Huh?" Thomas looks at Dratini, then up at you
"I can see now why Professor Oak chose you" he grinned with his eyes closed. Picking Dratini up, he strolls back to you
"You take him. You've earned him" Thomas smiles. You lift up the Ultra ball. Dratini glows.
"I believe Dratini has just learned ExtremeSpeed" Nerei announces. Dratini leaps into the Ultra ball happily.
"And I believe you have learned your lesson" behind her she reveals a second Dratini egg. Thomas brightens up. Nerei hands the egg to him
"Take good care of it. And raise it right" Nerei warns
"Thank you. I will. I promise" Thomas states elated
"You should find the last of us, Rodger, in the next town, across the stream" Thomas supplied
Later, you wave goodbye to Nerei and Thomas. All you Pokémon healed, the sun has started to set. A gently wave carries you across the stream
