Your name is Red, and you just got your very first Pokémon - a Charmander. After receiving a Pokédex from Professor Oak, you hold the red and white Pokéball in your hand. Blue, your rival, turns to you. "My Pokémon looks stronger," he says.

"How about we have a battle to find out?" you remark.

Smiling, Blue says, "Sure, Red."

"Go! Charmander!" you yell, throwing out your Pokéball.

"C'mon, Squirtle!" yells Blue, throwing his Pokéball.
